I will master Python!

As you know, for the past few months I have been learning about computer programming. HTML, CSS, and most recent Python3. I am fast falling in love with this language (to be honest I have zero experience with any other languages…).
A few simple reasons that I love this language:
- The syntax.
- The support.
- The ‘Monty Python’ references.
The syntax
The syntax for Python3 is fairly easy to read. As you scan a line, you can usually tell what is going on in the program. *If you are a complete beginner, it may not be as readily apparent.*
The support
There are so many resources available to learn Python. As stated in a previous post (You can find it here ), I have been going through Udemy courses and have had pretty good success with this avenue. Python is in version 3 now, and that means a lot of information is available. *A quick side note: Python 2 and 3 are not interchangeable, some of the syntax are different. For example if you wrote a program in Python2, it may not work in a Python3 IDE.* At the end of this post I’ll post links to some great resources if you want to dive into this crazy world of programming.
The ‘Monty Python’ references
Python is full of Monty Python references. From the basic ‘Hello world’ programs you start with (a lot of tutorials reference spam, bacon, and eggs from a Monty Python skit) to the name of the language its self.

I will become an expert in 2019
My coding goal for 2019 is to become an expert in Python. I will accomplish this by diligent study, participation in the #100DaysOfCode challenge and building real world programs that will tackle a range of problems.
Now I know what you’re thinking, ‘Ya, ya, we have heard it all before. You have these grand plans, tell the world you are going to do this thing or that, but in the end you fizzle out and leave us hanging, empty and hollow!’.
Well that is where another goal for 2019 of mine (and my wife for that matter) will come into play. I have challenged myself to be true to my word. If I say I will do something, Ill do my best to do that which I have said. The basis for this is from the bible. Ill be writing another post soon about this (along with other things) soon so if you want to stay informed subscribe to my blog posts!
All right enough of a squirrel, back to the point.
One of the many reasons that I want to learn and be an expert at Python ( and eventually a host of other languages) is the opportunity I see for myself and my family. The tech industry is not going away, ever. Just about everything we do involves computers, the internet, programs, etc. We are connected and I want to be apart of the future that is right here, right now.
I invite you to tag along with me on this new adventure. Journey with me into this land of tech, and watch me as I grow into the Python Master I know I can be!!!
As promised, here are some links to help you get started on your coding journey.
